Why Go Green?
Not only is green cleaning better for your health, it's also better for the environment. Traditional cleaning products contain artificial fragrances and are made of toxic chemicals which are released into the air and left behind on surfaces, where they're touched and ingested by people. Over 150 chemicals found in the average home have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological abnormalities. (Source: Consumer Product Safety Commission).
Did you know cleaning products are not tested for safety by any regulatory agency? In fact, manufacturers aren't even required to disclose to consumers what is actually in these cleaning products! These chemicals are also introduced into the eco systems when they are washed down the drain, and then they make their way into our rivers, streams, and oceans. Not only do people suffer, but so do animals and plants. That's why A Greener Clean carefully chooses cleaning methods that limit the impact on the environment, our employees, and our clients' families. We also limit our use of disposable products that end up in landfills. Our practices are safe for children and pets and will not leave behind harsh fumes.

About
How It Started
Gloria grew up in a home where Shaklee's environmentally-friendly products were used for cleaning and personal care, but it wasn't until the birth of her son that she really got serious about what her family was touching, ingesting, and breathing due to cleaning products and chemicals. Concerned about this, she began to use only green products and cleaning methods in her own home. It wasn't long after seeing the benefits of green cleaning in her home that Gloria decided to take her passion for green cleaning to others. So, in the summer of 2011, A Greener Clean was established.
Our Mission
A Greener Clean is dedicated to providing professional green cleaning with the utmost in customer service. A Greener Clean uses only natural, reusable products that create a safer indoor environment, and our practices will preserve our environment for generations to come. A Greener Clean is a Christian-owned company. We believe we are stewards of God's creation and with that comes responsibility to respect it and take care of it.
What We Use To Clean
A Greener Clean cleans chemical free. This type of cleaning is ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers, and anyone concerned about the environment. How do we manage this? Cleaning with just water or steam, which we do whenever we can, is possible with high quality microfiber. Our microfiber does not spread dirt and germs around like traditional cotton fiber cloths and disinfectants. Our microfiber cloths actually attract and lift over 99.9% of all contaminants on the surface we are cleaning. When the cloths are washed under water (they are washable and reusable), the dirt and germs are released down the drain.
Additionally, A Greener Clean currently uses HEPA Vacuums, Norwex Microfiber, Non-Toxic Cleaners by Shaklee, homemade natural cleaners (made with vinegar, water, essential oils, borax and baking soda) and Green Seal Certified Concentrated Industrial Cleaning Solutions by Focus (made in the USA).

We do not purchase throw away products that will end up in landfills. We like to use reusable, washable cloths and dusting tools. A Greener Clean is continuously searching out products and methods that use recycled materials and environmentally-friendly packaging.
Real Clean Doesn't Have a Smell
To truly be clean a surface must be free from all contaminants or debris-- including fragrances and chemicals. Dirt and chemicals smell; clean has no scent. We do not use products like disinfectants or bleach that have harsh fumes and leave behind harmful residue. Did you know the average "disinfectant spray" must sit wet on the surface for 10 minutes to be effective? Our methods are faster, easier, and much better for your health and environment. We don't believe your home should smell nice because of the artificial fragrances in the cleaning products that were used. Instead, to create a pleasant smell, we use all natural pure essential oils that are safe and non-toxic.

A Greener Clean service areas include, but are not limited to: Statesville, Troutman, Mooresville, Harmony, Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville, North Carolina. We are growing and expanding our service area, though, so please feel free to call and request a quote even if your home or office isn't in the listed cities we serve regularly.
We are particularly interested in expanding our service areas if we can serve multiple clients by doing so (i.e.--Business Parks, Office Buildings, etc).
